I'm back again for another moment of thought for this chapter. Bella finally came to her sense of existence when she realized how closely she resembled the zombies from the movie she watched with Jessica. For 4 months, she went around Forks doing mundane tasks mechanically. I believe that the reason for this comes in two; first, she was blocking all kinds of thoughts about Edward to keep herself from falling apart and second, she wanted to stay in Forks to hold onto to the memory of Edward which was all that she had.
One interesting scene in this chapter is how her delusion of Edward came as a voice in her head when she placed herself in a dangerous situation. I am amazed how the author pardoxically put a dire situation as a good dose for personal gratification without getting into medication. Does that make sense guys?
Lastly, my word bank for this chapter are as follow:
- psychoanalysis
- mollified
- affection
- grotesque
- subconscious
Later :p
