My Thoughts in Pictures Per Se for Chapters 17 &18 : Visitor and Funeral

Headaches are not fun and I just had one yesterday so I kept out of the blog radar. I still haven't heard from hbtwilight78 yet and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Anyway, today will be a little different in two ways. One, I have accidentally combined two chapters as in the title for this blog and two, I have put up pictures for my thoughts in these two chapters. So what's the catch?

You need to look at the pictures and arrange them in sequence to tell the summary of these chapters that I have combined! Come up with a description of the picture that will be related to the scene you are writing about for these chapters.
Where else will you leave your answers? Duh... in the post comment section!

Use this as your guide for the next entry!

Sidebar #5 For Hazera

Hello Hazera! It is really good to hear from you and read about your comment. By doing just that you have earned a point for ELA! Good work. Anyway, I do have a question. Can you explain why that part of Stitches that mentioned was interesting for you? I need to know the reason. Lastly, can you write your explanation on the post box found in Chapter 2? In that way, we do not get lost of the parts we are discussing about.

Enjoy your summer too as I am and keep jotting on your New Moon reading log notebook!

My Questions Per Se on Chapter 16: Paris

So here's my biggest question: How is this chapter got this title when there isn't a single reference to this place? Can somebody please explain this to me?

The chapter was about Jacob taking Bella home that night from her adventurous -near- death - cliff- diving-experience. Right? All of a sudden, the conversation turned mushy again! Why? Can anyone help here? Then when Jacob was made to remember clearly how Bella sees him in her life, his wolf instinct kicked in! What was that? You tell me! Aren't you reading the book?

As he tried to get Bella away from the house, to protect her from the vampire lurking in her premises, Bella's attention was caught by something she never expected to see again. What did she see that made her almost stopped breathing and broke Jacob's heart all over again? Well....I am waiting.

So there you go folks... Credits are up for grabs!

My Question Per Se for Chapter 15: Pressure

Ok, this is the last time I would be logging for today. Look at the picture I borrowed from an online site. I only have one big task for the day worth as high as five (5) points towards your class standing grade for ELA.

In not less than two (2) paragraphs of not less than 10 sentences for each of the paragraph, retell the chapter related to the picture below.

Now, I am giving you another biggie for your advantage. Your retell must be accurate, clear and includes pertinent details from the chapter. OK?

My Questions Per Se on Chapter: 14 Family

Good afternoon my 801 invisible class! I have decided to change my thoughts from statements to questions this time. In this way, all of you have ample chances of getting credits for ELA this Fall Semester. I hope you're ready!

Bella and Jacob finally clarified some issues between them that stressed their relationship. Can anyone tell me what those issues are? When Jacob decided to bring Bella to the rest of the pack, he got into an altercation with one of the boys. Who was it and why was there a fight? Two of the pack members made bets. What were the bets about?

Can anyone give me at least 3 new things that Bella learned in this chapter?

Was it really necessary for our heroine,Bella, to get exposed to these mythical creatures roaming Forks? Why or why not?

Who was it that she met in the little wooden house? What happened to her face? In what way is she similar or dissimilar with Esme?

Points....points.....points.... you want this! On our post section, write the question you are providing answers to and if you are correct, you get double points towards your class standing grade!

First 10, first serve!

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 13: Killer

My thoughts for this chapter are all framed in questions. Feel free to answer them but, do not forget to sign your name. Everyone in 801 is encouraged to join.

What part of Bella's conclusion about Jacob was inaccurate? How wrong was she about that? What page in the chapter support that? How is it that Bella was able to get to the near truth about Jacob? What was her main concern about his changes? Does it matter what he is to her? Why or why not?

Why was the make up and the conversation that went after that essential to the relationship of Bella and Jacob? Can you cite some details from the story to support that this conversation had to take place for the story to become more thrilling?

What did Bella confine to Jacob about Laurent? And how important is it that Bella is introduced to the "wolf family"? Does this scene remind you of another similar scene from Twilight? What? How?

Answers....answers....answers....are needed for you to get your points. Oooops... you need to write the question you are answering in order for me to keep track!

Ready...set...go!

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 12: Intruder

When Bella came home from her heated argument with Jacob in La Push, she went to bed that night with a heavy heart. She couldn't figure out how in the world Jacob changed in that short time of his absence. She felt devastated and frustrated about their situation. I think she feels this way because she is reliving her episode with Edward. Do you agree with me? Can anyone tell write how this is for her? (extra points, guys!)

That night, she thought it was the end of her when she felt someone outside her bedroom window. Victoria?!!!! Nope, it was Jacob trying to get in her room to make amends about the incident that afternoon. He was talking cryptic and Bella was having a hard time deciphering his riddles about the real reason why he bahaved the way he did. Besides, what happened that afternoon really had an emotional toll on our girl so naturally she couldn't focus.

Jacob couldn't tell her flat out the real score but he left a hint : go back to that day in the beach when he told her the story of the the "cold ones" and the wolves.

That night, she had another prophetic dream. Can anyone tell me what that is?

(extra points again, guys!) C'mon!

Enough for today as it is a rest day (Sunday). So I will come back tomorrow for my next blog on our summer reading homework - New Moon by Stephenie Meyer.

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 11: Cult

Hello there! This will be my final blog for today. Truth be told, I have actually finished reading the book and I am catching up on two related reading activities : the blog site and the reading notebook. I wish to finish thid project at the end of this month.
Bella, who is mainly perceptive, sensitive and smart, had a lot of time on her hand that she was able to figure out why Jacob was avoiding her. Do you remember their conversation about Sam Uley? She concocted the idea that Jacob was sucked into his pack! So she decided to be a superwoman and save Jacob from Sam with all her might (goodluck to that, your klutziness :). Only that, when she came faced to faced with Jacob, she was shocked at how he changed drastically-physically and personally with her.
They fought and Bella went away in tears......
I feel sadness for Bella. I could not blame her for being overprotective with Jacob because he really did made a big difference in what she was going through emotionally. Wouldn't you be hanging around with someone who lights up your emotional load without asking anything in return? Or even content to the fact that that person would wait for you to have a change of heart....someday? I can relate to Bella, it is natural to look for a clutch during a painful break-up.
How about you? What do you say?
Ooops.....Word Bank had been left out lately so, here they are:
  • nuisance
  • priority
  • peripheral
  • malicious
  • speculating
  • suppleness

I got carried away......

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 10: The Meadow

Good afternoon. Ms. Acedo here for another round of spilling out her thoughts on our summer reading homework "New Moon"- a sequel of the Twilight Series.

Jacob was still out of touch and Charlie asked Bella to leave him alone because he needed to recuperate. So, with too much time on her hand, Bella decided to trigger her delusion and headed to the meadow that Edward shared with her not too long ago. She was hoping he would hear his voice there and that would keep her whole ....even for a brief period of time.

However, there was only nothingness until a familiar face crossed her path in the meadow-Laurent. He told her how Victoria asked his help to track her because she was the reason her mate, James, was dead. Meeting her like that only made the task easier and between him and Victoria, she was better off killed by him than what Victoria had planned for her. It gave her the shivers and at the same time it did trigger hearing Edward's voice in her head asking her to beg for her life.

When Laurent was near enough to drink in her blood and eventually kill her, 5 wolves came from nowhere which sent Laurent running and Bella saved.
After reading this, I knew this part is pivotal in the Cullen's returning back to Forks. How? I wanted to find out and this became my drive to read more of the story that during my first time around to read the second book, I finished it in 10 hours of straight reading! I swear!

How about you? What did you think of this chapter and do you have any questions so far?
Guess what....
I am going to Forks this August to check out the meadow myself! For real....
Toodles for now.....

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 9: Third Wheel

Good morning folks! Am back from a one day hiatus(meaning rest) only because I had to catch up on my reading logs and I'm counting that you are too.....for your sake :) really, no jokes...

So our heroine, Isabella Marie Swan, has fallen into the routine of school-work -La Push (Jacob) to keep herself from remembering but not forgetting the love of her life ( a fine line to walk on, don't you think?). I noticed how Bella tried to widen her network of social friends by arranging a group date which includes the Forks HS circle and Jacob from La Push. However, that almost didn't work out.

The chapter dealt with three things:
  • Jacob expressing his feelings for Bella and making a promise to be there for her at all cost.
  • Bella putting it out there that he is wasting his time with her but it did not have to get in the way of their warm friendship and;
  • The cycle of Bella-Jacob routine was broken after the 24 hour virus incident.

Guys, what previous episode in Bella's life is similar to what she is having with Jacob at this time?

I will be back later for another chapter blog !!!! Meanwhile sit back for a minute of entertainment....

Later.......y'all :P

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 8: Adrenaline

Hohummm........still waiting.....waiting......waiting......

Jacob had started teaching our Isabella how to ride a bike. She got her high back as she flew with her bike but this time the voice was not kind...still velvety but hoarse with anger. For her, it didn't matter, he was with her no matter how ridiculous it seemed. In the middle of her concentrating at her delusion, she didn't see the curve and got into a minor accident.

Jacob, of course freaked out and wanted to take her to the hospital but, she had to clean herself first so the blood would not add any horrifying effect that might catch the attention of the attending physician which enough reason to alarm the town chief, Charlie, who happens to be her dad...(hhhmmmp...need to catch my b....r....e....a....t...h...).

Dad noticed the wound and warned Bella about the hike, which she told him what she was doing when the accident happened, because people were disappearing in the woods. There were sightings of big bears who many thought were responsible for the disappearances.

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 7: Repetition

Hello guys! Am back :) How do you like the new blog lay out? Cool huh! That's what I think.

So after our fickled minded heroine told herself to wake up and move on with her life, here she comes driving to the Cullen's residence. Is she saying one thing but doing another? I wonder why that is. Why didn't she have the guts to come closer and checked to see what's inside the premises.

When she started hyperventilating, she runs back to her truck to get to Jacob to ease the loneliness and sadness that almost overpowered her during her trip to the Cullen's house. By the time she came to La Push, Jacob already had a good news for her. Can you guess ? Right. The bikes are ready for a try out and she was thrilled. Anybody knows why?

She also uncovered something that was bugging Jacob for a while now. First about his friends and the strange things that he thought were going on in La Push with Sam as the ring leader. Secondly, he told Bella about his feelings for her but our girl could not reciprocate this for obvious reason. Was that practical for Bella to reserve her feelings for someone who was no longer around for her?

I'm still right here guys...waiting and scheming for when I see this September!lol

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 6: Friends

Boy! am I on a roll today :) This is my final blog though. So our heroine, Isabella Swan, in this chapter started hanging out with Jacob Black at La Push to keep her mind off from dwelling into her lost love, Edward, and to carry out her hidden agenda in the near future;however, she also led herself into the world of the Quileutes especially Jacob's family and friends.

Bella tried very hard to move on with her life in Forks High School as we;;. She started wooing back friends she had lost closeness with like Angela and Jessica, to say the least. Will she be able to cope up with the changes she wanted to bring to her life? for good? Was she taking advantage of how Jacob felt about her?

What do you say to this? Anyone...?? I am still avidly waiting for you guys.
Good night....

I was able to talk to Ms. Ashli this afternoon to check out our blog. She did find it as we conversed on the phone but I'm wondering why she did not leave any comment. I also recieved a text from Ms. Jamela asking for the site and I hope she was able to get online to check it out, write a comment and spread the website to others. Holler! Explore the site, it won't bite and extra credits will make your grades right!

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 5: Cheater

This time Bella not only woke up but got into serious thinking about the ineffectiveness of the pact she entered herself into with Edward when he broke up with her! How could he promise her making it look as if he never existed when that in itself is entirely contradictory! And that triggered her anger at him for keeping her end of the bargain when he had completely violated his promise as soon as he made it! It did not make sense and so, she needed to do the same for her promise--break it with Edward. How? By doing what he did not want her to do...

being reckless....

This newfound sense of freedom gave Bella two doors to explore: first, her kismet with the bike for sale sign and second, rekindling her friendship with Jacob Black, son of Billy Black from La Push.

So with this blog, I am borrowing a clip from youtube entitled "Reckless"by Playmen Featuring Together Forever Leon and Vassili Mix....

Hope you like this folks!

Later......

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 4: Waking Up

"Bella, how awake are you really?"

I'm back again for another moment of thought for this chapter. Bella finally came to her sense of existence when she realized how closely she resembled the zombies from the movie she watched with Jessica. For 4 months, she went around Forks doing mundane tasks mechanically. I believe that the reason for this comes in two; first, she was blocking all kinds of thoughts about Edward to keep herself from falling apart and second, she wanted to stay in Forks to hold onto to the memory of Edward which was all that she had.

One interesting scene in this chapter is how her delusion of Edward came as a voice in her head when she placed herself in a dangerous situation. I am amazed how the author pardoxically put a dire situation as a good dose for personal gratification without getting into medication. Does that make sense guys?

Lastly, my word bank for this chapter are as follow:

  • psychoanalysis
  • mollified
  • affection
  • grotesque
  • subconscious

The Gap - Explained

Hello guys!

I was out of touch for a whole week due to a Teacher Workshop I attended in Queens from July 13-17 at the Renaissance Charter School. It was another learning experience and a lot of reading for advancement but I also had a ton of fun! I will be back tomorrow to catch up with my blogs.

I had an epiphany while I was doing a workshop though, how would you like to do a Twilight Tour with me next year? Of course there are requirements but, would that really stop you from experiencing Port Angeles, Forks and La Push? If we start early then, we might just get it done... Fly to Seattle down to Port Angeles and explore Forks alongside La Push? Yes, in Seattle, WA!

So what do you say? I'll be there doing the Twilight Tour myself and a friend come August. I will do a video with some settings from the story for you to check out the experience. I will also have a lot of pictures taken! I am so very excited!I'll be in the land of "green".

I'll be back here tomorrow with my blogs, signing in a few times during the day to catch up with my postings and getting in touch with my inner thoughts about my reading. Like what I've said, I'm up to date with my reading logs and I do hope that you are too!

Until then....

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 3

As the chapter title stated, the relationship between Bella and Edward had ended. I am fascinated how the author wove three underlying concepts in this chapter alone namely; woman's intuition, the end of a relationship and reader's connection from a remote past. She was feeling the approach of the inevitable after the incident from her birthday. Edward exhibiting aloofness and finally ending the relationship promising her he would make it look as if he never existed. Bella tried to overpower her feelings of agony but eventually surrendered to her demise relationship with the love of her life, Edward.

Pages with months written meant Bella was in oblivion.

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 2 : Stitches

I enjoyed reading this chapter mainly because Bella became instrumental in my learning more about the Cullen family specifically Carlisle. He was very honest with her and I caught a glimpse of how he raised Edward like his very own son. Despite the card that was dealt to him, Carlisle did not forget his faith, having come from a family of clergymen. For me, this is especially true, "No one is a victim, we always have a choice under many circumstances".

Let me share some of the words I have chosen for my word bank:
  • masochistic
  • indecipherable
  • melodramatic
  • perplexed
  • piqued

I am still waiting guys.....

My Thoughts Per Se

Hello Guys,

I am signing back fromJuly 8 to July 11. Sorry I slacked on the blog site but my reading, along with my notbebook logs, are well synchronized (meaning they are happening at the same time). I see that none has commented on our blog site with regards to their reading so I think I need to do some extra effort to check up on you :) I really want you to keep up with your reading this summer. You are all graduating this year and I would like for you to have your last year in MS an educationally fun-filled year.

Chapter 1 : The Party

Bella is not a happy camper in celebratingher 18th birthday,Sept. 13th, because she does not like the idea of being older than her suave looking vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen. However, Edward did a guilt trip strategy on her to convince her to savor the party prepared for her by her "vampire in-laws-to-be".

I like the part on how Edward was trying hard to convince Bella in celebrating her b-day party. It was very sweet and romantic. If men can be that way 90% of the time, women will have a blast and be loyal to their commitment. What do you say?
