My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 20: Volterrra

" Death that had sucked the honey of thy breath hath had no power yet upon thy beauty."

Romeo and Juliet

This chapter was heart pounding because of the vivid description and account of the author to the readers as she tried to paint a picture of the hurdles that Bella would have to overcome in saving the love of her life. It was a minute by minute account of Bella making a run despite her klutziness to save her lover on time. Can you imagine how she tried to navigate her way around that throng of people why focusing on Edward's location at the same time?

How sweet when they finally embraced again and Edward once again showed how he really felt for Bella. He had lost sense of reality thinking that he just died and came to heaven with Bella waiting for him in her warmth embrace. This chapter was just mushy! Awwww......true love is quite intoxicating! That goes for the picture as well :)

On a serious note:

Other vampire royalty was also introduced into this chapter which makes it more interesting.

Will they escape the verdict of the royal vampire leaders? Aro, Caius and Marcus....

Ms. Acedo

My Thoughts Per Se on Chapter 19 Race

I'm back y' all! I will be blogging about this chapter which I refer to as Bella and Alice sealing the bonds of their friendship for good. It's really strange that when a loved one is in great danger, people who truly care for them will not have any second thoughts of saving them. This is really the power of love and exactly what our heroine, Bella, is about to do even if she will be grounded by Charlie for the rest of her life by leaving ( the second time around) the country without any permission and torturing Jacob's feelings for leaving him behind, literally and figuratively.

The plane conversation was hilarious and it only goes to show how girlfriends, who are true to their friendship, can open up to each other and comfort one another in time of need. When I read this chapter again for the nth time after spending time in Seattle, I felt a connection. The flight they took from Seattle to Georgia to New York can really make a traveler weary and 'suspended' in time when in transit up in the air.

The chapter also opened up a lot of relationships that were cared for and nurtured by the characters involved. Alice with Jasper and for all her other 'vampire siblings'; Bella with Edward

as well. It also showed the readers how powerful Alice's sixth sense was as she took us to every decision that Edward made in sealing his doom.

Lastly, woven into this chapter was the story of who and what the Volturi are to the vampires in the world. I think that part was very cool. The author was a genius in concocting that stylish lifestyle despite their means of surviving. However, I was thinking, with all the money that they have in the world, why don't they just set up a fake blood bank and have their "exotic juice" in stylish wine bottles as well? :p

Just a thought.

Toodles,

Ms. Maria Acedo
